Consistent and reliable service

I've been using 5 Dollar Meal Plan for a while now, this was my third 'Slow Cooker Meal Plan'. Just like previous times, the plan arrived on time every week, and the recipes were always easy to understand. The grocery lists were accurate and made shopping a breeze. I keep coming back because I know exactly what to expect – good, affordable meals without much fuss. It's a solid service that delivers every time.

Good plan, few minor hiccups

I got the 'Weekly Family Meal Plan' after my free trial ran out. The recipes themselves were generally good, pretty straightforward. The grocery list feature was really helpful for shopping, though sometimes it suggested things I already had, making my list longer than needed. Delivery was instant since it's all digital, which was nice. I had a question about swapping a recipe and customer support got back to me in about 2 days. It did save us some money on groceries overall. Worth it for busy weeks.

So helpful for dinners!

I tried the 'Dinner Only Plan' last month and it was fantastic! The recipes were super easy to follow and everything tasted great. My family loved the variety. I'm definitely subscribing again for the Annual Subscription!

Great value, small suggestion

I signed up for the 'Monthly Subscription' focusing on the 'Kid Friendly Recipes'. Most meals were a hit with my picky eaters, which is a big win. The grocery lists were a huge time-saver. I noticed that some recipes called for ingredients in amounts that left just a tiny bit left over, like half a can of something, which sometimes went to waste. Not a big deal, but could be optimized a bit more. Overall, it's a very practical service for the price.

how are the meal plans actually delivered? is it like, physical papers, or just a PDF, or what?

D Daniel Nguyen 2 days ago
It's all digital. You log into your account on their website and everything is there. You can print out the plans and grocery lists if you want, but it's not mailed to you.

Nah, no physical stuff. It's online access. You get weekly emails with links to the new plans and shopping lists, then you just download them.

Does anyone know if they ever do promo codes for existing members? I've been on the monthly plan for a while and would love to snag a discount.

O Olivia Allen 1 month ago
Not usually, from what I've seen. Most of their deals are for new sign-ups, like the free trial or annual plan discounts.

I've only ever seen codes for new annual memberships, or sometimes around holidays for bundles. Existing members usually don't get much extra love unfortunately.

Wondering how the 5 Dollar Meal Plan stacks up against eMeals. I've used eMeals before, but it got a bit pricey. Is 5dollarmealplan any better for saving money?

L Leah J. 4 days ago
Definitely more budget-focused than eMeals, I'd say. The whole premise is eating for five bucks a meal, which eMeals doesn't really guarantee. You'll see more simple, cost-effective ingredients.

From my experience, eMeals gives you more variety sometimes, but 5dollarmealplan is way better if your main goal is strictly saving cash. Ingredients are usually cheaper for the 5dollar ones.

Hey guys, thinking about trying 5dollarmealplan. Do they actually have good options for gluten-free stuff? My kid has celiac and it's always a struggle.

Z Zach R. 2 weeks ago
Yeah, they do! I've seen a dedicated Gluten-Free Meal Plan section. It's not just a few recipes, it's a whole plan.

My sister uses it for her daughter, says it's pretty decent. You can filter by it too, I think.

Can you actually cancel the subscription easily? I'm thinking of doing the free trial, but I don't want to get stuck in a long process if I decide it's not for me.

J Josh Moore 4 days ago
Yup, super easy. I canceled after my free trial last year because I just wasn't using it enough, took literally a minute through my account settings.

Yeah, it's not like some services that make you jump through hoops. Just go into your account and there's a cancel button. No issues.
